Beta test terms

These terms apply when you sign up as a beta tester or location scout and when you play a case during the beta test. When we start selling cases, there will be terms of purchase as well.

Who is behind it

Walk & Solve and Mordpromenad are run by Patrik Gineman. The business does not have a company yet. When it moves to a limited company, the company takes over these terms and we will email you about it.

The beta test

  • Being a beta tester is free.
  • We send game links in rounds. Signing up does not mean you get to play a particular case or at a particular time.
  • The cases are not finished. They may contain errors and change between rounds.
  • The cases are in Swedish for now.
  • We may pause or end the beta test at any time.

The beta discount

If you are signed up as a beta tester when we launch, you get 50 percent off every case for six months from the launch date.

  • The discount applies to purchases with the email address you signed up with.
  • It is personal and cannot be exchanged for money or combined with other discounts.
  • If you unsubscribe before the launch, it does not apply.

We will tell you how the discount is given, for example as a code, in an email at launch.

When you play

You play at your own risk and are responsible for how you get between the locations.

  • Follow the traffic rules and look up from your phone when you cross a street.
  • Stay in public places. Do not enter private land, building sites or closed-off areas, even if a location in the game seems to be there.
  • Be considerate of other people, especially at churches and cemeteries.
  • Children under 15 should play together with an adult.
  • Do not play if it is dark, slippery or otherwise unsafe.

If a location has changed, for example because of building work, please tell us. We are not liable for injuries or damage that occur while you play, to the extent permitted by law.

The game link and the content

  • A game link is for one team, with at most six phones.
  • The cases, texts, images and sound are protected by copyright. You may play them yourselves but not copy or distribute them.
  • Do not post the solution or the game link publicly, so that the next team can enjoy it too.

What you tell us

What you write in the survey after the game, or email us about the cases, we may use to improve them, without payment.

Location scouts

  • We may use tips about places and stories that you send us in our cases, also in a changed form.
  • If we use a tip, you get a free case as a thank you. It gives no other payment.
  • Only send photos you have taken yourself, and preferably photos where no people or number plates can be recognised.

How we handle your data is described in our privacy policy.

Changes and ending

We may change these terms. We will email you about larger changes. You can stop being a beta tester at any time by replying to one of our emails with the word unsubscribe, or by emailing [email protected].

Swedish law applies to these terms.
